So I'm sitting here in the black of the night, reflecting on the amazing day that has brought me here. Waking at 4:00 am Eastern to get to the airport on time left me a little worried I might be sluggish once we got here. Man I couldn't have been more wrong. I have never felt so energized! THAT is what the amazing place has done within the first 12 hours. After a long day of grocery shopping in Bozeman and Livingston with Mike (aka Steve), we headed south to our cabin at the Yellowstone Overlook Campus.
Slowly the landscape began to change and the skies started to clear. My eyes were tired but I REFUSED to close them! I didn't want to miss anything. One thing was more beautiful than the first. As we started our ascent to the Overlook Campus, my eyes filled up with tears. <darn it Joanna....you made me get teary-eyed twice in one week> We were greeted with smiles by Matt and Erica and we couldn't get our groceries unloaded fast enough to get outside to see this THE VIEW FROM OUR DECK. <--- watch me
Welcome to Yellowstone my friends.
I'm signing off now to enjoy the light show in the sky. No city lights + dark night sky = something spectacular. Good night for now.
