So after three plane rides and a two hour drive I was ready to kick my feet up and try to recover from a severe case of motion sickness.. That is until I saw an elk. It was the biggest thing I have ever seen and I could not believe, for the life of me, that it was alive. And then it moved. And then I yelled. And then everyone one the bus laughed at me. All in good humor though (I hope haha) What's a city girl to do though, let's be honest. The biggest animal I have ever seen was an ostrich at the ppg zoo when I was in grade school.
After that I realized how big everything was. I was, and still am, in awe of the vast space everywhere. Even the rain drops tonight were big.. How does that happen? I don't know. The funny thing about all this is that it happened in under half a day and it's only 9:15 pm, which means there's still time to star gaze! Keeping fingers crossed that the clouds go away!
